    Made this. Used half molasses half honey. Added chili powder, onion powder, extra paprika and hot sauce. It’s very good! I don’t like really sweet BBQ, but this is perfect balance of sweet & tangy.

    I made this today. I agree, it's a fantastic base to do your own bbq sauce. I'm not good with spicy foods so I removed the hot sauce and added hickory liquid smoke then beefed up the brown sugar and honey.

    I halved the recipe, increased the hot sauce, then added corn starch and Dr Pepper. I think the recipe is a good base to make it to your own.

    I halved the recipe and made it sugar free by using Splenda brown sugar (1/2 cup) and Cary's sugar free syrup (1/4 cup). Used it on ribs today and tasted great!

    I doubled the recipe and added one large onion minced.. no hot sauce or Worcestershire... delicious
